Teach One

Holding to the faithful message as taught, so that he will be able both to encourage with sound teaching and to refute those who contradict it. Titus 1:9

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Establish and deploy a training curriculum. This scripture from Titus reminds us that elders should hold to the faithful message as taught to be able to re-teach as well as refute those who contradict it. While this scripture is directed to elders, it applies to us all. The Bible is our instruction manual, and without increasing our personal knowledge and understanding, we will not be able to teach or refute others. We must seek to constantly grow in our own biblical knowledge to be able to appropriately pass this on.

Prayer for Day 11: Pray for an overall increase in Bible literacy for our congregation. Pray that you will stay strong when convicted and pray for God’s will in your life. Pray today for our church leadership to deliver biblically strong foundational training to our congregation. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.
