Day 1 of 21 Days of Prayer

Reach One

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Every believer at CCC builds a friendship with someone who is spiritually lost and shares Jesus in three years. This may require you to get out of your comfort zone and reach and teach people who may not fall in your current comfort zone. This will also require you to pay attention to those already in your circle who may need to be led to Jesus.

Prayer for Day 1: Pray that God will create awareness of those around you who are already ripe for harvest. Pray that he will supply the words required to introduce others to Jesus. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

Then he said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.”  Mark 16:15

Reflect on the importance of this goal: We are called to go into the world and preach to all creation.  We are not called to sit around waiting for them to come to us, but to go.  We are also not to be selective, but to go to all creation.  You may want to seek God’s direction on whom to take steps forward with and meditate on whom may be open to hearing God’s plan in your life.

Prayer For Day 2: Pray for a heart to grow spiritually to be better equipped to deliver the message of Jesus to others. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

Day 3 Reach One

How, then, can they call on him they have not believed in? And how can they believe without hearing about him? And how can they hear without a preacher? Romans 10:14

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Participate in evangelism training. We, as members of the body, must prepare ourselves to reach the lost by actively studying and learning the Word. We must be prepared in all situations as required to share the message and introduce those in our lives to Jesus. Our goal is to equip at least 50% of the member/partners of CCC to share the Gospel over the next 3 years.

Prayer for Day 3: Pray that God will create time and space in your daily life to add time for appropriate training in the Word. Pray that God will open your heart and mind to absorb his will and teaching so that you may pass on the powerful message of Jesus. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

“Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Prevailing prayer for those who are far from God. We want to develop and provide tools to help the member/partners of CCC pray for the lost. These opportunities will be provided in the form of Connect Groups, Bible Studies, and weekly Sermons. As you enter the new year, we encourage you to increase your focus on regular attendance and participation in all activities offered.

Prayer for Day 4: Pray that God will increase your personal commitment to regular attendance in both Sunday services as well as additional training, study, and fellowship opportunities offered at CCC. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

“Who is he, Sir, that I may believe in him?” he asked.

John 9:36

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Participate in community outreach. Go and be the church collectively in our communities. We must focus on our activities outside of the body, inside the community. We often neglect that Jesus may have already prepared the hearts of those whose path we cross, and they may already be seeking knowledge that will lead them to our Lord and Savior.

Prayer for Day 5: Pray for the courage to volunteer in capacities that may have felt difficult in the past. Pray that God will use you personally to reach the local community. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

“How can I,” he said, “unless someone guides me?”

Acts 8:31

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Help to build the CCC brand. Position the church clearly and attractively to be recognized in the community. We want CCC to be recognized as a bible-based church that loves and welcomes all who wish to learn and grow in faith. As a member/partner of CCC, we each represent Christ and our community, and we must accept that we are each expected to serve as a guide to others. Let us be like Jesus and cast a light that is appealing to others and welcomes all who wish to hear.

Prayer for Day 6: Pray for the courage to represent the kingdom in all that you do. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Recruit leaders for the evangelism/outreach team. Oversee, organize, and lead evangelism/outreach events. God has gifted each of his children with special talent; seek his guidance on your role in the church body. Seek understanding of where you are to be involved in the daily function of the Body of Christ.

Prayer for Day 7: Pray for the wisdom to know if you are someone who should be leading and volunteering in a different or new capacity for the benefit of the kingdom. We proclaim him, warning and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone mature in Christ.

Colossians 1:28

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Every believer at CCC knows and takes the next step in becoming more like Jesus. Colossians tells us that we must be present and mature in Christ. It is therefore our responsibility to be strong in our biblical knowledge to work with others and help them also mature in Christ. Seek out bible study opportunities and other activities that will help you grow spiritually.

Prayer for Day 8: Pray for spiritual growth and a rapid increase in biblical knowledge. If you struggle with memorization, pray for an increased capacity to retain scripture. If you struggle with time for study, pray for the time to become available. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

What you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, commit to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2:2

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Recruit, train, and deploy discipleship group leaders/facilitators. As members of the body, we must recognize both our ability to teach others as well as to help find new members who have the gift of facilitation or teaching. Jesus was our example, and he had many others whom he identified and taught to lead others to Christ. We should each embrace our capabilities as teachers and work to encourage others to teach and share Jesus as well. This is the only way that the kingdom will continue to expand.

Prayer for Day 9: Pray for our church leaders and elders as they seek to grow the base of facilitators and teachers at CCC. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

Day 10 of 21 Days of Prayer

Teach One

It is not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God. He has made us competent to be ministers of a new covenant, not the letter, but of the Spirit. For the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 2 Corinthians 3:5-6

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Assess current Connect Groups/involvement. We must assess our current commitment and involvement in Connect Groups. Scripture tells us that we are not ourselves competent, but with the Spirit, we are given the ability to be ministers of the new covenant. We must seek God’s will in our lives and the Spirit’s guidance on our commitment level. We must also seek guidance from the Spirit regarding who the Spirit is putting in our paths that could be called to this commitment in the future.

Prayer for Day 10: Pray to seek direction on which Connect Group offerings you should be taking part in and what role you are to play in each Connect Group you are involved in. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

Holding to the faithful message as taught, so that he will be able both to encourage with sound teaching and to refute those who contradict it. Titus 1:9

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Establish and deploy a training curriculum. This scripture from Titus reminds us that elders should hold to the faithful message as taught to be able to re-teach as well as refute those who contradict it. While this scripture is directed to elders, it applies to us all. The Bible is our instruction manual, and without increasing our personal knowledge and understanding, we will not be able to teach or refute others. We must seek to constantly grow in our own biblical knowledge to be able to appropriately pass this on.

Prayer for Day 11: Pray for an overall increase in Bible literacy for our congregation. Pray that you will stay strong when convicted and pray for God’s will in your life. Pray today for our church leadership to deliver biblically strong foundational training to our congregation. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, nourished by the words of the faith and the good teaching that you have followed. 1 Timothy 4:6

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Creation of more Connect Groups and active learners. We are called to be good servants by nourishing ourselves with words of faith and good teaching. We have been provided an advantage over those who lived before Christ because we have the Bible. By constantly seeking to improve our Biblical literacy and understanding, we will continue to grow and continue to foster an environment where others will also grow. Our relationship with Jesus will function as it does with anyone else. We will seek to spend more time in the presence of those we love, trust, and enjoy. We must seek to deepen our personal relationships with Jesus, and we will then spend more time with him and want to encourage others to do the same.

Prayer for Day 12: Pray that our congregation will be full of active learners who seek to strengthen their biblical foundation. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. Colossians 3:16

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Develop a communication strategy. We will have a streamlined communication strategy that anyone can easily access. We must seek growth in our technology and communication strategy that will enable us to reach a broader audience in the local community. As members of the body of Christ, we must look for opportunities to communicate God’s plan to unbelievers, and we should invite them to our worship services.

Prayer for Day 13: Pray for strong communication results in the community and pray that we will reach many unbelievers in the local area. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

We do, however, speak a wisdom among the mature, but not a wisdom of this age, or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. On the contrary, we speak God’s hidden wisdom in a mystery, a wisdom God predestined before the ages for our glory. 1 Corinthians 2:6-7

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Promotion of expectations/hunger for the mature to grow. Our goal is for 85% of our active member/partners to be engaged in a discipleship group. Please seek out opportunities that are provided by the church to grow in your own spiritual walk. Please see Connect Group opportunities to fellowship and build relationships that will encourage you and build your faith and biblical knowledge to further grow the kingdom of God.

Prayer for Day 14: Pray that we will be a church committed to community as the original churches were. Pray that our Connect Groups will grow and support one another as we see in biblical examples. Start a youth out on his way; even when he grows old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Every believer at CCC invests time, talent, and treasure in the NextGen. As a body, we need to invest in the growth of new Christians. This scripture from Proverbs refers to our youth, but any new Christian is considered young spiritually. We must seek to grow our NextGen programming as well as programs for new believers. We need to equip our programs with leaders and volunteers who are willing and able to facilitate the growth of our future leaders.

Prayer for Day 15: Pray for our NextGen regularly. Commit to praying for them on a regular, recurring basis because they are the future and are under constant attack. Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey.

Please pray that future leaders would rise to the surface and that God would help the existing leadership to recognize and lift the new members who are rising to assume new roles and responsibilities.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come!

2 Corinthians 5:17

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Every believer at CCC invests time, talent, and treasure in the NextGen. As a body, we need to invest in the growth of new Christians. We must lead by example and participate in Bible Study, Connect Groups, and church sponsored events that promote biblical and spiritual growth. We must encourage new believers and teach them the ways of God the Father.

Prayer for Day 16: Pray for a flood of willing members to support our NextGen programming in whatever they need to grow their foundation and assume future roles in the congregation. Reflect on the importance of this goal: Stewardship. Each partner at CCC will invest in our NextGen ministry with either time, talent, or treasure and ongoing, prevailing prayer. We must bathe our NexGen programming in prayer and volunteers with a heart for the spiritual growth of our youth. We must pray for them frequently and walk alongside the youth of our congregation, offering guidance, support, and prayer to ensure that they are not at risk of falling away.

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Building Needs. Identify and prioritize the top 3 NextGen facility needs identified by parents, volunteers, and staff. We must seek to grow our NextGen facilities and programs according to God’s will. He clearly tells us that we are to grow his kingdom and that he will provide for our needs.

Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you should answer each person.

Colossians 4:6

Reflect on the importance of this goal: Communication. Provide easily accessible communications through multiple platforms, including Realm, social media, and physical handouts available in the lobby. We must seek God’s guidance in all of our communication so that it will always be pleasing to him and beneficial to his kingdom. In seeking to extend our communication to the community, we need to be gracious and seek to meet people where they are. As we grow our specialized and technical communication, we must always stay with correct teaching and encourage others to want to participate in our offerings.

Prayer for Day 19: Pray for wisdom and courage to pursue this goal faithfully. Ask God to reveal opportunities to live out this goal in your daily life. Thank God for the community and support in this journey. Pray today over each of the teen and children’s programs in effect at CCC. Reflect on the importance of this goal: Missions. Have a minimum of 2x outreach events led by NextGen ministry, keeping outreach local to the Hilliard community. Take personal accountability to volunteer or support our teen and children’s programs as both a volunteer and participant. We must support the NextGen as they seek to move the kingdom goals forward. On our last day of combined prayer, reflect on the importance of this goal: Technology. Ensure that 100% of Next-Gen environments have up-to-date technology, through research and an inventory of current technology. Please consider praying and assisting the church with the needs in this space. Keep in mind that the youth of our congregation are greatly immersed in technology, and technology can be a tremendous asset in the growth of that population.
